Hi! I’m Ellie Grover and I serve as the Worship and Creative Arts Director here at MBPC. This church is a true example of Christ’s love and His Body in action. I’m grateful to be here!

I grew up in the Central Valley in a loving home. I moved to L.A. for college where I attended Biola University and graduated with a BA in studio arts. I married my high school sweetheart, Ed, the same month I graduated! We moved back to my hometown of Bakersfield, California where I started my own business as a wedding photographer and Ed worked as a youth pastor. I followed my husband as he pursued vocational ministry over the years.  I was always actively involved in our local church, serving in various ministries including youth, women’s ministries and worship. Ministry took us on a journey to Northern California for 8 years where we adopted our two children, then to the Pacific Northwest for 7 years. Now we are back enjoying the sunny state of California.

All throughout owning a photography business, doing free-lance creative work and raising my two children I have consistently served the church through worship and other ministries. It is my joy to find myself now doing what I love vocationally in Morro Bay with such a wonderful community.

Outside of the church I still enjoy photography, graphic design and the studio arts. I always have a pile of 5 books I’m currently (slowly) reading! You can find my husband and I doing projects around our house as well as enjoying the constant, crazy adventure of life with two teenage children. I am also newly enrolled in seminary pursuing a Masters in Theology!

I love coffee - and hot or iced beverages of all kinds - good food and good walks. But I like these things the most when I’m with someone else! I’d love to catch up or get to know you better! Reach out anytime!
